BARC Start-up Award for Analytics & Data Management 2022
With the BARC Start-up Award, the analyst firm BARC honours start-ups that have developed innovative software in the analytics area. Companies that were founded no more than six years ago and have their headquarters in Germany, Austria or Switzerland are eligible to participate. The submitted solution had to be software or a software-supported service in the field of business intelligence, data analysis, planning and simulation, or data management.
The Finalists of the Start-up Award
When selecting the finalists, the jury particularly evaluates the technical implementation of the business solution, the promised business benefit through the solution as well as the sustainability of the business model. From the 20 written applications for the award, the three finalists were determined, who presented their solutions to the audience of the Big Data & AI World in a pitch followed by a question & answering sessions led by the jury.
Apart from Veezoo this years finalists were Virtivity, the developer of APOLLO, the modular corporate performance management software based on IBM Planning Analytics with Watson (TM1) and Xeotek, the developer of a low-code platform for data streaming applications.
Veezoo was chosen as the 6th winner of the BARC Startup-award. Veezoo convinced the jury and the audience with its advanced natural language querying possibilities. It was obvious to the jury that this simple means of interaction significantly reduces barriers for business users to work successfully with data.
We are very happy that our solution to bring Self-Service Analytics to every business user has been recognized by an authority such as BARC.
The awards show the innovative strength of companies in the German-speaking region – both on the user and on the provider side. In addition to innovative new AI applications, the winning solutions also show that best practices are aimed at simplifying the use of business intelligence and analytics solutions in order to make the benefits of data and its analysis accessible to a larger number of users in companies.
